Kix.com, The Kentucky/Indiana Exchange was built to help with job and economic development in the Wired 65 Region of Kentucky and Indiana. It includes functionality such as the ability for job seekers to search and apply for jobs and educational opportunities and, it has social networking tools to connect with other job seekers. Employers in the region can post jobs and view up to date labor market information from the region. Deeper than that is a mission to enhance the quality of place in Kentucky and Indiana, for individuals to share all of the wonderful things that are happening in the region. My role in this project was to help them create a brand from scratch and to create a user experience that matters. And so evolved the brand kix.com ( www.kix.com )with all of the associated logos, marketing materials, oh and of course an online experience. Kix.com launched in May 2010 and quickly received over 40,000 page views per month with almost 900 members registered.
