If you’re involved with selecting stock photography for a design project then you should have a keen awareness of images that “look” like stock. By now most people know that the photo of the they happy people staring at the computer screen who are seemingly overjoyed at the spreadsheet they’re viewing is not an image of the actual business. That’s fine, we get that. But you have to know what a cheeseball image is. You have to know what looks dated. And, you have to know what looks completely lost, silly and useless on the page. At a minimum can we please agree to stop putting a picture of a happy smiling woman with a headset on your “Contact Us” page. She is on EVERY site. We get it.
